A board of directors, presently consisting of 7 superintendents and 2 treasurers, governs The Jefferson Health Plan.  The Board administers the various plans, approves the administrative services and insurance contracts on behalf of the consortium, and handles the selection and annual renewal of all contracts necessary to manage benefit programs.  Members of the consortium vote on the election of the Board members who serve staggered two-year terms. 
 
Each member is entitled to one vote at the semi-annual membership meetings for business matters requiring a vote of the membership.
 
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Chuck Kokiko
Dr. Chuck Kokiko
Chuck Kokiko earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Akron, a Master's degree from Franciscan University, and his Doctorate at Robert Morris University.  During the past 23 years in education, he has served as a teacher, coach, principal, curriculum director, chief academic advisor, and superintendent.  In addition to his education involvement, Chuck is entering his sixth year as fiscal officer for his local township.
Board Member Adam Pittis
Adam Pittis
Adam Pittis has worked in education since 2005, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, special education director, curriculum director, and currently as superintendent.  He earned a College Prep Diploma from Claymont High School, an Associates of Applied Science degree from The Ohio State University, a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Kent State University, and a Masters of Educational Administration degree from Salem International University.
 
Adam is a member of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators, serving as a Legislative, Financial Advisory and State Teachers Retirement System Committee member; and a member of the Coalition of Rural and Appalachan Schools.  In addition to serving on the Jefferson Health Plan Board, he serves on the Ohio Mid-Eastern Regional Education Service Agency (OME-RESA) Board of Directors.
Board Member Bill Beattie
Bill Beattie
Bill Beattie has been employed by the Edison Local School District in Jefferson County for the last 29 years.  He has served in many capacities while employed there.  He has been the superintendent since 2012.  He received his undergraduate degree from West Liberty State College and his Masters in Educational Administration from Salem University.
 
Bill has been married for 21 years to his wife, Nancy.  They have two children: Brien, 20, who attends The Ohio State University, and a daughter Brooke, 18, who attends the Ohio School of Cosmetology in Columbus.

Brent Ripley
Mr. Brent Ripley is serving as Superintendent of Bridgeport Exempted Village School District and has worked in education since 1994 as a teacher, high school principal, middle school principal, and director of operations.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts from West Liberty University, A Masters in Educational Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a superintendents endorsement from Salem International University.
 
Brent is a member of the Buckeye Association of School Administrators and a member of the Coalition of Rural and Appalachian Schools.  Brent has two children, Bethany, 23, and Adam, 21. 
Margie Travis
Margie Travis
Margie has twenty-eight years of experience in public education.  She has been employed for the past twenty years at Hillsdale Local Schools as Treasurer/CFO.  Prior to working in the education field, she was employed in a law office and worked at financial institutions.
 
Graduating from Ashland University with a Masters Degree in Education, she also has an Associate in Applied Business Degree in Accounting from North Central State College.  She is currently on the Accounting Advisory Board at North Central State College.  She is a member of the Ohio Association of School Business Officials and a member of Tri-County Treasurer's Group in Ashland, Wayne, and Holmes Counties.

Robert Graham
Rob is the first and only graduate of the Radford City School System to also be named superintendent of this outstanding and prestigious school division! He earned his B.S. from Emory and Henry, M.S. from George Mason University, Ed.S from the University of Virginia, and currently is working on his Ed.D. at East Tennessee State University. In 2006, Rob returned to work in his hometown, serving as principal of McHarg Elementary School before moving to Central Office as Assistant Superintendent from 2010-2015. He is excited and thrilled to be the superintendent of Radford City Schools and is grateful for the support he has received from the Board, faculty and staff, Radford community, and his family. Rob and his wife, Kristine McBride Graham, have three daughters – Logan 21, Sophie 19, and Madison 17, all who have graduated or will graduate to be life long Bobcats!
